      Good afternoon,

I have this problem with my license server:

lmgrd is not running: License server machine is down or not responding. (-96,7:11001 "WinSock: Host not found (HOST_NOT_FOUND)")

I already look in all the topics in different forums regarding this issue and try to apply the solutions proposed but none of them worked.

If somebody has some clue about a possible solution would be great.

      Thanks.

Open a Dos Command prompt window.

      Type in:

      ping hostname
(Where hostname is the hostname of the license server)

You can try adding the hostname and ip address to the hosts file under:
      c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc
      ###.###.###.###       hostname

      Good morning George,

Thanks for sharing this solution, I pinged the server and received a response.

I tried to add the IP address and hostname to the host file, but the problem was not solved.

I've been running into this as well, and I suspect is has to do with lsb missing in my linux install

      lsb is defintiely needed

My solution was matching the server names in the license file on the client and server exactly.
