SubscriberI want to model a coil made of rectangular litz wire (6x10mm cross section). This rectangular litz wire is made of 3000 strands of 0.1mm diameter.Â
What is the right setting for the material in this case?
Wire type: Rectangular or Round?
If rectangular is selected, it asks for thickness and width direction. Is this the thickness and width direction of individual strand or the litz wire (10x6mm face)?
Since my wire is coiling, how the thickness and width direction change continuously, how to go about this?
Lastly, to verify the resistance of the wire, should I rely on the postprocessed RL matrix, or explicitly compute it from (PerWindingStrandedLossAC/Irms^2) -
