SubscriberHello,I am attempting to tune an antenna for resonance, which involves optimizing the capacitance in parallel with the antenna (rlc_p_c). I have set up a Sequential Nonlinear Programming (Gradient) Optimization, which works fine, however I would like to put a limiting constraint on the rlc_p_c so that values below a step-size of 1pF are not tested. Otherwise, the SNP continues to choose higher and higher precision values of capacitance that aren't realizable in the real world.I realize I can do this with a parametric analysis, but is there a way to limit the precision of a variable of an Optimization Analysis?.Best,nGregn -

Ansys Employee,nYou can try using the Setup Optimization -- Variables -- Linear Constraint feature to set the constraints for any particular variable under optimization.
