SubscriberHi.
I am a student and I got this Granta Edupack version supplied to me by my institution 'edupack_setup.2021_R2' and the VPN 'OpenVPN Connect'. I managed to install the Edupack and the VPN. With the VPN connected, I open Edupack and I get this error:

Ansys EmployeeHi I think there is a problem here which prevents your PC to connect to the university licence server. It may be that you have put in an incorrect hostname and/or port number when installing EduPack. This information should have been provided to you by your institution. Maybe make sure you have the correct hostname and port number and re-install EduPack, if this is the problem.
Or that there is a problem in your connection with the VPN to the university server? If this is the problem than you should not be experiencing this error when you are on campus and directly connected to the university network (without a VPN).
You may find some more answers here as well: /forum/discussion/28641/installation-licensing-of-ansys-granta-edupack-faqs#latest
Let me know how things go.

SubscriberHi nmanai thank you for your answer. After I posted here I called the Granta Edupack Technical Service. We spend about an hour trying to find out the problem. We used the command line and the 'ping' command to see whether the connections were ok. And they were. So we were puzzled. In the end we did not come to any solution.
After that I deinstalled the program and reinstalled it again and then everything worked just fine. I used the same server and port entries.
Sometimes the good old methods work best.
