Hello,
With the release of ANSYS 2021 R2 we have end users that have noticed issues with our license server. For example, if you try to launch ANSYS Fluent 2021 R2. You will be met with an error saying the cfd_preppost_pro feature does not exist in the licensing pool. Then Fluent will force shut down. This is confirmed on multiple computers to be an issue.
We are supposed to have a license that covers all of this. I have attached a screenshot of the error message.
Thank you,
Austin

July 22, 2021 at 3:32 pmsoftware_engSubscriberWe have not updated our license server. Is this something we need to do? I was reading this article here: https://support.ansys.com/portal/site/AnsysCustomerPortal/template.fss?file=/ANSYS+Customer+Portal/staticassets/GettingStarted/2021R2/2021%20R2%20Licensing%20Updates.pdf
And I noticed it said we would need a new license file and we would not need to update our License manager version. Is this true or should we update both?
Thank you Austin

July 23, 2021 at 2:59 pmsoftware_engSubscriberWe updated our license manager to the latest version (downloaded from ansys.com) and we are still getting the same error on client machines.
