SubscriberHello,
Â
I have had recent issues regarding my license. I had my ANSYS Student edition downloaded on my laptop, which worked for several weeks but has stopped working in the past fortnight. The error message attached shows up when I try to solve a simulation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Forum ModeratorWhich version were you using? The licences do expire after about a year (some extensions may be available but you need to download & install the new build) so that may be the case.Â

Ansys EmployeePlease reboot your machine. You should be able to run 1 instance of Ansys, but if you try to run 2 you would encounter the error message you are seeing. If no instances are open, please check your Task Manager to stop any hung processes related to Ansys which may be holding the license.

Ansys EmployeeIf you look in Task Manager, on the Details tab, you can add the column for Image Path Name. Look for entries which are related to Ansys.Â
