Hello,

 

I have a student license of ANSYS using which I am trying to do AM DED simulation. But I have been getting an error when I try to solve. The error message I get is:

ANSYS LICENSE MANAGER ERROR:
 Request name am_module does not exist in the licensing pool.
 No such feature exists.
 Feature:       am_module
 FlexNet Licensing error:-5,357

 

Can anyone help me to resolve this error?

Which licenses do you have can you send the screenshot of your license file, only first 10 lines.

Hi Tejas,

Did you install student free version Download Ansys Student | Workbench-based Simulation Tools application? or academic version Current Release (ansys.com) from portal?

For student version you don't need licenses but there are few limitations, if you download from portal and have license for it then please contact your license server admin for servername and port no. (bydefault 1055).

Do you know your Ansys Account No.?

I installed the student version (I have attached a screenshot of the downloaded file for your reference).

May I know the limitations of the student version? Can't I simulate DED process with the student version?
