License issues with newest 2024 R2 Version

      Hello,

After updating my ansys lumerical version from 2024 R1.3 to 2024 R2 I've started getting license issues when I save many jobs to the job queue an then run runjobs. About 20% of them fail with the following error:

      GPU streaming multiprocessors(SMs): 40
System error: 10054 "An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.
      ".

Error: Failed to checkout feature 'lum_fdtd_solve'
System error: 10054 "An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

      ".

Would you like to reconfigure your license settings?, Response: No
License error: Failed to checkout feature 'lum_fdtd_solve'
System error: 10054 "An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.
      ".

Error: there was a failure with the license. Process number: 0 had this error

The license for lumerical is hosted on a server if that makes any difference. Additionally, this is an error that only occurs with 2024 R2. I can still run 2024 R1.3 without any license failures.

I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue or if there is a way to solve this.

      Thank you for your help!

      Hello Andres Garcia Coleto,

      1. Try to reset/delete the 'FDTD Solutions.ini' file from your user's folder before running with the 2024 R2 release.
