I recently installed the Ansys 2025R1 Student version. 

Subsequently, I tried running one the simple exercises on Modal Analysis, following an Innovation Course, but I keep getting the following error message:

 

solve -->  ANSYS LICENSE MANAGER ERROR:

solve -->  No FlexNet Publisher (FNP) license found for feature Ansys Structural Solver.

solve -->              FNP license path: C:\Users\chris\AppData\Local\Temp\\1014d575-2ebb-48f6-b22a-527f6ca6ef63

solve -->  No such feature exists.

solve -->  Feature:       stba

solve -->  License path:  C:\Users\chris\AppData\Local\Temp\\1014d575-2ebb-48f6-b22a-527f6ca6ef63;

solve -->  FlexNet Licensing error:-5,357

solve -->

solve -->  *** ERROR - ANSYS license not available.

 

Does this mean that the structural solver (Modal Analysis) is not included with the student version or is the error related to another cause?

Modal analysis is included in the student license.

Try restarting your computer and create a fresh Modal analysis to see if the problem repeats.

I have tried restarting my computer several times and I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the whole software suite, but all to no avail.

Try deleting your Ansys profile which does not get removed when uninstalling and reinstalling.

Thanks a million @Peteroznewman, it worked!

Simply renaming the folder "Ansys" located in "C:\Users\chris\AppData\Roaming" from "Ansys" to "Ansys.old" helped to resolve the problem.

I tried to do according to this advise, but it was not work from error.  it noted "error" No such feature exists. Feature hfss_guiLicense path C.   please tell me any actions to do recovering of this error.
