I instaled ansys student free software but it keeps showing this message when i try to open programme other than the workbench. How do i activate my student licence?

Hi,

It should not ask for license for student free version, please check if you have ansyslmd.ini file under C:\Program Files\Ansys_Inc\Shared Files\Licensing. If yes then rename/delete it to ansyslmd.ini.old.

Hi, i do not have that file under that directory what should i do?

Hi,

If file doesn't exists, you can check on set an alternate preference and click on ok.

When i choose any option it gives me the error in the second print screen and when i click cancel gives me the error in first print screen.

May I know which version have you installed? student free version or academic, if academic then please point to the server first through Ansys Licensing Settings(launch it as an admin).
