Lack of Documentation

I'm somewhat of an electrical engineering student and I did some research trying to find good software to design a basic electrical schematic. After stumbles and hurdles, I'm here and tried figuring out the Ansys Circuit Program, but could not find any good documentation on how to use the program. It's useless if you can't use it effectively and I'm not willing to "wing it" until I learn the software. I'd rather go pay for AutoCAD Electrical or something and learn from the extensive knowledge already widespread online.

Can anyone lead me to some good documentation where I can actually learn the basics of Ansys Circuit from Novic to Expert, or does it not exist? Am I using the right software for what I want? Just a basic electrical schematic is what I want to start getting good at. Maybe there are better programs out there, or in the Ansys inventory, I'm just not noticing. I see everything here is mostly geared towards simulations.

Also, I've provided a screenshot of the specific software I'm trying to get to work. And.. another screenshot of an example of the level I'd like to get to.

      Thanks.

      Hi,

There are some resources available through the "Help" menu of the Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT) interface. After a design is inserted into the project, then you can get the help resources available for that design type which include getting started guides and help documents. In addition, you can also go through example projects available under "Open examples" present in the ribbon area of the Desktop tab.

AEDT offers two types of design types - "Circuit" and "Simplorer". The latter is specific to electric motor drives. Kindly use the appropriate design type.

      Best regards,
      Praneeth.
