I have a problem modeling a L-shaped beam. In APDL I simply create 3 keypoints and I join them with two lines. Then, I mesh with beam188 elements with a rectangular cross-section. I attach some images to figure out better.
When I Activate the /ESCHAPE command I discover that there is overlapping at the corner. Actually, I do not know if it is only a graphical representation or if this overlapping could give me a problem in the results. I say this because the beam is only a part of my model, which gives me not accurate results.

Ansys EmployeeHinIt is graphical representation. What APDL solving is actually line element. It appears from the image the beam is considerable thick compared to its length.
