I am currently performing a Static Structural analysis on a reinforced concrete floating body. The model has hydrodynamic pressures applied through load mapping from Aqwa, and I aim to obtain stress results from this setup.
From my understanding, the floating body doesn’t have explicit boundary conditions for restraint, so I attempted to use the Weak Springs method and Inertia Relief to avoid rigid body motion. However, I am facing issues when using these methods for nonlinear materials.
Weak spring alone gives me node errors and while turning on inerta relief it says that "Inertia relief is not valid in a nonlinear analysis".
Can someone please confirm if there is an alternative method to apply boundary conditions or handle the floating body in a nonlinear analysis?
I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions on how to proceed with this analysis.
