SubscriberI have designed 5 hp Synchronous Reluctance motor in Ansys using RMXprt and generated a maxwell 2d model of it. I want to calculate the torque produced. I have attached the motion setup settings used, the voltage excitation settings used and the torque waveform generated. My motor should have 3000 rpm as the rated speed but the maxwell model is producing only 1500 rpm speed even at 100 hz frequency. The torque is fluctuating at zero load torque. Please help me resolve this issue.

Ansys EmployeeHello,
Your motor lost sync at the very beggining. Please use constant speed, or use external circuit that syncs rotor position and current.

SubscriberI have used transient cosimulation using twinbuilder to obtain torque using current sources at rated current at rated speed of 3000 rpm. However the motor is not producing rated torque. The torque produced was 4.36 Nm while the rated torque is 11.87 Nm. Please let me know how to resolve this to produced rated Torque. The Rmxprt result for the motor shows 11.87 Nm full load torque

Ansys EmployeeYou are using uncontrolled current source and constant speed. In this case you need to adjust initial rotor angle or phase of current to adjust the torque.
