November 12, 2021 at 5:09 pmRKAnsys EmployeeHello,
May I know which workflow are you using in Fluent meshing? Can you try to export PMDB (Workench --> Export to PMDB) and load the pmdb file?
November 12, 2021 at 5:37 pmjcastelSubscriberWater tight meshing. It does actually succeed in the import when i use the fault tolerant meshing however..
Where can i export a PMDB in the Workbench GUI? i see no options for that in Spaceclaim or Workbench and only export as .agdb in Design Modeler.
November 15, 2021 at 4:22 pmRKAnsys EmployeeNot in WB GUI. When you have the geometry open in SpaceClaim, Go to Workbench tab (blue ribbon) --> Fluent 2021 R2 --> Export to PMDB. Try loading the PMDB to watertight workflow.
November 15, 2021 at 7:11 pmjcastelSubscriberI get the same error when importing as a PMDB and when i tried Fluent 2021 R2 --> Watertight Geometry Workflow
November 17, 2021 at 8:11 pmjcastelSubscriberI am still not able to import any CAD format into the Watertight Geometry Workflow
PLEASE ADVISE!!!!
November 18, 2021 at 2:48 pmRKAnsys EmployeeTry with a standalone version. Open SpaceClaim from start menu, load the geometry, Workbench --> Fluent 2021 R2 --> Watertight geometry. There seems to be some issues with the CAD configuration.
November 18, 2021 at 5:34 pmjcastelSubscriberSee my comment just before this. I tried that after your last suggestion no success.
November 18, 2021 at 5:36 pmjcastelSubscriberThe problem is persists in stand alone models, single Fluent (with meshing) nodes in Workbench, and linked Spaceclaim Fluent models in workbench.
November 24, 2023 at 4:23 amDC WSubscriberI meet the same problem. I solve it by running Fluent in the administrator. Hope it will work for youViewing 9 reply threads- The topic ‘Issue with CAD Import’ is closed to new replies.
