SubscriberHello all,
I have issue in post processor result not matching with input parameter in BC in fluent.
I'm trying to simulate a steady, 3D, incompressible flow through a pipe.In Boundary Condition I have given Pressure inlet , the reference frame is Absolute, the Gauge Total Pressure is 2830000Pa and Mass Flow outlet , mass flow specification method is Mass flow Rate, Mass Flow rate is 24.1424kg/s . Flow is in suction type. I am using k-omega SST model with coupled solution method.
My problem is that after converging in result pressure inlet value is not matching with my input data means instead of 2830000Pa value it is coming 2829320Pa.Due to this difference there will be impact on pressure drop calculation.Â
Please help me to resolve this issue as i am new in ansys, i could not find out this solution.Â
Thanks
Sarita

Ansys EmployeeHi.
Can you please post the screesnshot of how you are calculating the pressure in the post processor?
Thank you.

Ansys EmployeeHi,
The area-weighted average of a quantity is computed by dividing the summation of the product of the selected field variable and facet area by the total area of the surface
You can check the formula here: 26.3.1. Computing Surface Integrals (ansys.com)
Can you check the value of pressure in the contour?
