Issue Exporting System Coupling Setup with .sci File in ANSYS 2022R1

I’m working with ANSYS 2022R1 and encountering an issue when exporting a System Coupling setup for a coupled Fluent-Mechanical analysis. Despite ensuring that all components of the analysis (Fluent, Mechanical, and System Coupling systems) are fully updated and the coupling interfaces/data transfers are defined in the System Coupling Setup cell, the export process only generates two .scp files (fluent.scp and Mechanical.scp) instead of the expected .sci file for a full setup.

I’ve followed the standard export procedure:

      1. Completed the setup for both participant systems (Fluent and Mechanical).
      2. Defined the coupling interfaces and data transfers in the System Coupling system.
      3. Right-clicked the System Coupling Setup cell and exported setup to a new working directory.
      4. Checked the export log, which indicates a full setup export was attempted, but no .sci file is present—only the .scp files and SyC/Settings.h5.

I need the .sci file to run the simulation on a cluster using syscserver, as the separate .scp files don’t seem to include the coupling definition. Can anyone advise:

      • Why the .sci file isn’t being exported despite a full setup?
      • Any specific settings or steps I might have missed in Workbench to ensure the .sci file is generated?
      • Alternative ways to combine the .scp files or use them directly with syscserver if the .sci export can’t be resolved?

If the .sci file isn't being exported despite having a full setup one of the reasons could be the  System Coupling Version: If you are using System Coupling v1.0, the "Export Setup from Workbench" operation is not supported. You would need to update the engine settings for each System Coupling system on the Project Schematic. This involves setting the Coupling Engine to 2.0 and then regenerating the System Coupling Input file by selecting File > Export SCI File. Refer below link from system couplig online manual.

      11.7. System Coupling
