Hello,
I am trying to use ANSYS to calculate the view factors in a situation like this : two disks face to face (see image1) :
I know that applying different temperatures to top and bottom faces of a shell is a beta functionality in my version (2022 R1), but how can I compute a radiative transfert on the bottom disk (I am using a cylinder), the top disk and the face linking both of these disks ?
Then, I'd like to print the view factors of each faces of my cylinder. I want something like that (source Abaqus)
Do I have to use APDL and if so, which commands should I use ?
Thanks.

You could scope a radiation boundary condition to the top and bottom disk separately, but make both surfaces part of the same enclosure to model radiation between them. This way you will be able to obtain the radiation heat flows for the two surfaces independently. A plot like you show would be very helpful. Development is aware of the need for this capability. It is possible to write the view factor file in ascii format by issuing the command vfopt,,,,,ASCI. Â
