SubscriberHi all,
I am attaching my geometry, I have a surface body in the middle (points-lines-surface). I have to subtract this surface body from the rest of fluid domain as I have to give different boundary conditions at the bottom so I need three faces at the bottom: two from fluid domain and one from the surface body.Â
when I use boolean operation although it is done but I do not get three faces at bottom, I have just one like at the start.
Is is possible to subtract the surface body from the rest fluid domain?
Regards

SubscriberIs it suitable to use boolean-Imprint faces?instead of boolean-subtract?

Forum ModeratorUse Imprint. Boolean won't work as the surface has no volume to overlap with the fluid region.Â

Ansys EmployeeYou can use imprint.Â
Or you can create a single part of surface body and solid body and then use sharetopology.Â

SubscriberThank you very much for your kind replies, for my case imprint goes well because by share topology I am unable to select the faces separately for different boundary conditions.
