I'm trying to model an interference condition for a compound pressure vessel with axisymmetric 2D behaviour.
However, even after modelling geometrical interference (~ 0.1 mm) as shown in the below image, the initial contact tool status shows "Far Open" but there should have been some finite penetration. Further due to this, there is no interference stress developed after solving the model.

Can you check the pinball radius? It might be very small, that why it is showing as far open. Pinball radius should be bigger than the interference. Also, you can go through the Ansys how to video which explains the interference modelling. It can help you to understand better.
Thanks amaniyar
