Installing Lumerical on Windows 11 (VM on Mac w/ Intel chips)

  I am running into an error installing Lumerical on my system (Windows 11 running on a VM, on a Mac with Intel chips). There is an error during installation because Intel MPI fails to install. I can't figure out how to resolve the error to complete installation.

  Try to install the Optics Launcher, Lumerical and Microsoft MPI separately/individually. Do Not Install Intel MPI. See the following KB guides for more information.

  Please take note that we do not support MacOS or Apple computers, even those running Windows inside Parallels (VM). In case there are issues with this platform/combination, we will not be able to provide assistance or resolve the issue. We recommend to run Lumerical on a supported platform.

  I was able to resolve by using the Advanced Installation instructions and not installing Intel MPI. Thank you for your help.
