I'm trying to install Ansys License Manager (to install a new license file) on a server that has the older license manager software on it (FlexLM). The Ansys License Manager installer issues a warning that it will stop the FlexLM licensing service and will merge it into the Ansys License Manager. Will this interrupt the service to clients actively using the current license? Will the older licenses still work after the installation (without any change to clients)?
Thanks.

Hi John,
May I know the versions of Ansys License Maanger and old LM, also which OS are you using?
Updating the Ansys license manager should not disturb the users.

I'm trying to install the latest version of the Ansys License Manager (2024 R1). The old LM is "Zemax License Manager Version March 23, 2020". All of this is running on Windows Server 2016 Datacenter.
Thanks,
John
