SubscriberHi All,
I want to simulate tensile/compression loading of a part using Ansys static structural. For that, I need t oinput customized stress-strain data obtained from the experiments into the geometry part. I tried to insert it as a command (APDL) but could not open the command window. Why it is happening like this?
Can you recommend me any other methods for inserting stress-strain data?
Thank you

Ansys EmployeeHi Chamini,
What is the purpose of inserting stress-strain data into a command snippet? If it is to define a material property, it should be handled in "Engineering Data“. Please check this relevant post: /forum/forums/topic/compression-test-on-specimen/
Regards,
Wenlong

SubscriberHi Wenlong,
Thank you for the information.
I am still new to theses simulations and I came across this while practicing a video tutorial. What I'm concerned gere is that my software is not functioning well where it get stucked or opens up blank. Screenshots of some issues I faced are attached
below.

Forum ModeratorAs a workaround, try using the import and export features from the toolbar (can also be accessed from the context menu by right-clicking on the command snippet) and check if it helps.
