SubscriberI am having a problem with my thermal fluid flow. As you can see on the added image, i had made a volume and assign it's material as water. In the middle of volume I cut out a area for a solid part which I have added before simulation. I also added a Inlet and a Outlet to the volume. For the solid part I have assigned structural steel. The problem is that when I set the Initial Temperature of the Solid Thermal, the temperature is applied to the whole model and not just the solid part. The Fluid Initial Temperature doesn't make any changes regardless of what value I set. It's as if the program thinks that my whole model is solid, but I have checked and the material of the volume around the solid part is only water. I am working on my thesis and if anyone does have any ideas it would help a lot.

Please can you share you setup file with me to understand this problem better. I can then check and get back to you. Thank you.

I attached my file. I am simulating fluid flow through a cooling pool, in which hot workpieces are placed to cool down. As I said, at the start of the simulation the fluid temperature is the same as Solid Thermal Initial Temperature. I would want the fluid temperature to be the same as Fluid Initial Temperature. In the file my goal was to simulate, how would a workpiece at 100°C cool down in a cooling pool with a Inlet of water at 10°C.
Thank you so much for responding and your cooperation.

It checked your file, and your solid thermal conditions are not assigned to the solid correctly in your model. I am attaching a simple model similar to your case; you can go through the setup and try the same for your case.Â
Also, you have applied flow rate only on the rectangular part of the front face of the fluid volume. The other regions do not contribute much on the cooling and temperature values remains the same.Â
Please refer the sample model attach for setup and see if that helps.Â
