Infinite Ground with Master Slave Boundaries

      Hi,

Are there Technical Notes about how Infinite Ground works with Master-Slave Boundaries in HFSS? Is it even recommended to use Infinite Ground option with Master Slave boundaries?

      Thanks,

      Aman

HFSS will solve for currents on the finite ground plane that you have physically defined in the model, but when calculating far fields, it will take into account the "infinite ground" option if you've selected it. In other words, radiated fields are the only result affected by the infinite ground option - the infinite ground option does not change what's happening during the HFSS solve process; only the radiated field calculations that occur after the solve process will be affected (like when you plot far fields for example).

Great. Thank you for the response.

Is it okay to use infinite ground plane with Master-Slave boundaries?

      Yes, that should be fine.
