In 2 way FSI, when the velocity inlet return to 0, valve cannot recover to initial state

      Recently I met a problem.

My project is to simulate 2 way FSI of aortic valve.

And I used velocity inlet and pressure outlet as boundary condition.

The veolocity inlet is shown in the picture. And the pressure outlet is set to 0.

Hello, nI do see that at the final state of the valve, there is significant deformation of around 3.4 mm near the top. nSo it looks like the valve material deforms due to the FSI loading (pressure from fluid).nIf you want the final state to correspond to your initial state, then the deformation should resolve to 0 as for your initial state.nIs there any kind of material hysteresis or plasticity which prevents the material to release the stresses due to deformation even after the load has been removed?nYou need to check that. Check the material properties. Is the material non linear? if so, then you might want to test with a linear material first.nHope this helps.nnRegards,nSuryann
