SubscriberHello,
One current customer of SpaceClaim is trying Discovery AIM. He downloaded and installed the software without problem.
He can import a model designed in SpaceClaim but then, the software blocks and he can not do anything else.
Have you ever seen that? Do you need any log file to help?

If there is any type of error message being displayed it would be beneficial to see it.
If AIM simply freezes, it would be good to know how long they wait for it to come back, and how large the model is overall.
Also, are they using the Workbench tab in SpaceClaim and launching AIM from there, or opening AIM separately and opening the file?

SubscriberHello Brian Bueno
The customer hasn't any error message, AIM simply freezes and never comes back. The model is very simple :
Â
He opens Discovery AIM separately and then imports a .scdoc file.
I think AIM freezes because of his configuration. He has a processor Intel i5, 8Go of RAM and no dedicated GPU (he uses the chispet). You can find more details attached.
do you think the configuration of his PC is in question?
Thanks in advance.

I believe the hardware configuration is the root cause of the problem in this case.
This is from the Discovery Hardware Requirements article:
- 64-bit Intel or AMD system, running Windows 7, 8 or 10.
- 4 GBÂ RAM (8 GB minimum for Discovery AIM)
- A dedicated graphics card with latest drivers and at least 1GB video RAM, capable of supporting OpenGL 4.5 and DirectX 9c, or higher.  Use of integrated graphics (e.g. Intel HD/IRIS) is not recommended.
