Importing initial Stress

      Hi.

Is there any way to import initial stress from a CVS file into an Explicit Dynamics analysis?

      Hi,

Unlike Static Structural analysis, currently, the only imported loaded supported for Explicit Dynamics is pressure (Reference: https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v201/en/exd_ag/exd_ag_external_loads.html?q=explicit%20dynamic%20imported%20load). So you'll have to link your Explicit dynamics with another analysis to import initial stress.

      Hi,

I may not make myself clear so let's expand more. For static structural analysis, you can import a CSV file as "External Data" to import initial stress. And that External Data will appear as an "imported load" where you can select the imported load type as "initial stress". But that's not the case for Explicit Dynamics as the only imported load type available is "pressure".
