SubscriberI'm doing a simulation in transient structural in workbench and I have a problem with importing acceleration-time history from excel-2016 into WB 15.1. I tried to import the data in ".XML" formats or ".txt" format ,but all my trials gave this error "'either the specified location is incorrect or the source at that location contains no data". Could you help me , please?

Thank you so much Eng. peteroznewman, It is working!
But now I want to ask 2 new questions,
First, in the details of acceleration in the definition part I don't have the "Base excitation" cell, so what is the reason for this in your point of view?
Secondly, when I solved the model after pasting the acceleration time history data the error in the attached picture occurred when the model geometry is symmetric and the damping ratio was program controlled and its vale was .005. could you please tell me what's the meaning of "MSUP" ? and do you have any suggestions to fix this error?....... Thank you again Sir!

SubscriberI don't see a Fixed Support in your Transient branch.
When I build a Transient Structural model to simulate a seismic test of a piece of equipment bolted to the floor, I need that fixed support to hold the parts to ground. The acceleration load acts on the mass of the parts.
Here is the acceleration in Y. This is what an accelerometer on the fixed support would record.
Here is the y-displacement at the tip of a cantilever beam subject to that acceleration.
MSUP = Modal Superposition, which is a different solution method than Full Transient.
Block D is a Full Transient solution, while Block F is a Modal Superposition Transient solution.
Full Transient can simulate frictional contacts opening and closing and large deflection.
MSUP is a linear solution and can't do that, but it can solve linear problems much faster than Full Transient.
