Imported load problem

      Hi

I have imported load from Maxwell block in workbench. I can see all 50 different body force density loads in transient structural block. Problem is that i don't know how to use that data correctly. When solve model, i got results only zero, like there is no load at all. There should have first 25ms about 20N steady load and after that it goes to 0N. Load should be active like in that Maxwell force plot, how to make that happen?

Based on the force plot in Maxwell, you can create your own data in excel/ text file: which should have X,Y, and Z locations of nodes, force value and then you can use External Data to import this file and apply the force. Please see if the following link helps:
      External Data (ansys.com)

Ok i try that. Is there some kind of bug or why direct coupling link between Maxwell and Mechanical does not work, when importing load?

There is no bug but you may need to choose which imported data to keep and which one to deactivate, which may be time-consuming.

ok, I tried that external data solution and noticed a problem which leads me to same situation what i had earlier. In Maxwell need to change time step every time i make new Body Force Density file. If i do it that way, in this case i have 50 separate files that i have to import with that external data block and i think situation will be the same. Example was static situation, i have transient and it is time depend. I don't understand why this is so hard to configure in Mechanical. Why i just cant make it read load at 1ms, load at 2ms and so on?

What are the details when you click on Body Force Density instead of summary?
Can you see Source and Analysis Time? Please share a snapshot.

      Hi
      Here is snapshot:

You can make changes here under the Source time and Analysis time. Source time is the data from Maxwell, the time at which you want to import the load and Analysis Time is the time at which you want to apply the load. You can edit the data in excel as well and paste it here.

If i understand right those times are correct , e-002 = E-2. If i change time value i can see that force vectors are longer 0-25ms and after 25ms vectors are shorter. But simulation results shows no deformation. With about 20N force there should have some deformation.

I try longer load time and higher load and see can i get any noticeable deformation. Maybe 25ms is too short time and force too weak in this case.

I tried with higher force and different timing and now it results wave form than flat line. If i select all source times it results very low force which is always active. If i select time range when source load is active, then it results high force wave form like it should. When i select time range when load is low i get low force wave form like it should. It still not follow Maxwell force timing, when all forces all imported. Any suggestions how to make it work?
It would be nice if somebody could check my model or send me working example.

Ansys employees cannot download or look into the model. Maybe someone can comment more on this. Also, 1e-2 = 0.01.
