I'm researching about break-away phenomenon by using ANSYS static structural
At break-away phenomenon, friction coefficient is major factor which mainly effect of result
For achieving high accuracy of implementing break-away environment, I want to apply roughness at surface between two component.
Is there a method to applying roughness factor at surface except modeling roughness?
Like input roughness factor like ANSYS fluent.

Forum ModeratorHi,
You can define a frictional contact with given friction coefficient in Mechanical. You will not be able to define roughness factor.
