SubscriberI am currently working on analyzing the frequency characteristics of a pogo pin, specifically focusing on the impact of contact resistance. How to implement this resistance in our simulation tools, HFSS or Q3D Extractor?

Ansys EmployeeContact resistance can be set in Q3D Extractor version 2025R1 and later. Contact resistance cannot be set in HFSS.
Select the surface for which you want to set contact resistance, and select the menu Q3D Extractor > Boundary > Assign > Contract Resistance....
If you select Thin Layer for Type, you can set the conductivity. If you select Resistive Sheet for Type, you can set the resistance value.
