I have been using ANSYS Student 17.2 since 2 months for my masters degree project. Now my teacher has instructed me to install ICEM CFD for creating geometries and meshing complex structures. But i cant find it in my installed ANSYS version. Please take some time and help me. I need it urgently.

Glad that you have been using our student product for your project.
The stand alone ICEM CFD product is really a legacy workflow these days. It is not enabled by the free ANSYS Student license. Â However, over the past 5 years the ICEM CFD meshing technology has been progressively integrated into our Workbench platform, the technology is under the hood of the the ANSYS Meshing application. Â I think you'll find that the combination of using ANSYS SpaceClaim and ANSYS Meshing will more than adequately address "creating geometry and meshing complex structures..". Â

September 24, 2017 at 3:21 pmbolla2 SubscriberHello pgl!
I have a lecture where we use ICEM (and we will have some exam with it) (v18.2), so I downloaded the student version to practice a bit at home. There's no way to get a student license for ICEM? I really don't want to use some... how to say... borrowed ansys just to practice for exams
