August 6, 2020 at 9:21 pmsid10maheshSubscriberWhy is it not possible to perform modal analysis of a hyper-elastic material in ANSYS? Can you explain the details? All the time it says invalid material property data when I do modal analysis(question mark appearing near to Modal in the tree) but it works okay for the rest structural analysis.n

August 7, 2020 at 3:47 ampeteroznewmanSubscriberThe reason is that a modal analysis is a Linear Analysis so it can only be done with Linear materials.nA hyperelastic material is nonlinear so it is impossible to use that in a Modal analysis.n

April 3, 2021 at 6:18 pmJHPontesSubscriber,is there a way to linearize the elastic behavior of hyperelastic models using stress-strain data and curve fit?nIf am not understood ansys allow us to make it with viscoelastic materials (using prony series). I would like to introduce foam stress-strain data and perform a curve fit to some linear model so I could use it in modal and harmonic analysis.nnThank you n
