SubscriberHello, I have a question about Ansys Mechanical APDL. I can't figure out how to display the normal stress, shear and bending moment diagram. From what I understand the codes change according to the element type, in my case I need the codes for the BEAM188.I found this table, but I can't figure out how to insert them. for example if I need the momentum along the X axis what and where should I use?ÂÂ -

Ansys EmployeeHi Errico
Please see the Ansys Help, Verification Manual, VM217 "Portal Frame Under Symmetric Loading". To plot those first an 'element table' is used to gather the results. Then the command 'plls' is used to plot the results long the beam elements. That VM217 shows what the plot will look like and has a listing of the commands to build/setup/solve/postprocess the model.
