SubscriberWhen Spaceclaim gets stuck in a spinning blue cursor circle and there is no stop sign availble to press at the bottom and tapping or holding down esc does not work. Is there a way to stop it without losing your work? I know it saves periodically but I can not see when it last saved. The last resort is to open task manager and shut it down.
This just happened when I tried to remove a face on a solid.

Forum ModeratorHello Richard Beck The ESC key or hitting the STOP button as shown in image 1 below, it throws a pop up as shown in image 2.
You can click 'Stop' to terminate the process. But this works when SpaceClaim has not hanged. Once it's hanged it may be at a point too far to stop the operation because the program has stopped responding. Typically, if ESC doesn't work, it will be hard to recover.

SubscriberThanks, so if it really locks up then only option is to close it via the task manager and reopen and restore.

Forum ModeratorHi Richard Beck ,
In some cases i have found a trick others have recently reproduced and wondering if it works at all for you:
1) In cases where i try to do a Fill or a Pull and SpaceClaim or Discovery Live is thinking for a while, looks like it won't complete and i want to cancel, i first press ESC a few times, and try clicking the stop sign. When those don't work...
2) Minimize SpaceClaim from the buttons in the upper right.
3) In these cases the red stop sign will still show floating at the bottom even though SC is minimized.
4) Click the stop sign, then press ESC. Â
This has forced SC to resume in some cases with Fill and Pull, but not for some tools that have a status box and a button for "STOP".
Â
Please let us know if this works at all for you
