Although, I know HFSS is mainly used for RF Frequency Wave Simulations, I want to perform the LiDAR simulation which works on laser light and photons. However, I am not able to find any option regarding LIDAR simulation in HFSS. So do I have to model it in a different way or something?

Please note that Ansys Lumerical is the recommended tool for doing the LiDAR simulation. You can go through this article for more information - Light detection and ranging (LiDAR) antenna – Ansys Optics.

Thanks for your reply, your patience on this is much appreciated.

Please note that I only recommended using Ansys Lumerical as it is generally used for LiDAR applications. 

Kindly share the planned simulation setup and the outcomes that you are expecting for this simulation to confirm if it is possible with Ansys HFSS.
