SubscriberIm working on the fluid flow over a flat plate, in which the plate deforms like an S-shape.The external force is provided by the user, such that the plate deforms exactly as S-shape.how to mesh and simulate this profile.kindly help me out.

Forum ModeratorHello Naren B
Are you trying to use Ansys Discovery for this simulation?
Please correct me if I'm wrong but are you trying to perform Fluid-Solid Interaction simulation here?ÂThis type of simulation is currently not possible in Discovery.
Although, if you are trying to perform a simple Fluid flow simulation over a bent plate, you will be able to do so.
Please go through our tutorials on Ansys Discovery to get an idea of how to use the tool.Â

SubscriberHello SubashniÂ
Thanks for your reply
My requirement is to deform a flexible plate with prescribed input motion(I will instruct the way in which the plate deforms, for example: S-shape, C-shape, etc.,) and finding out the forces exerted on the plate in the presence of oncoming fluid flow(at some velocity)
kindly explain how to do this in Ansys-Fluent
