SubscriberHi all
Recently I have started a problem which ultimately is a wing with different angles of attack (AOA) and inlet velocities
In order to run multiple calculations in one batch I decided to create a velocity and AOA input parameter.
The velocity parameter is used for the inlet boundary condition specifying the x velocity direction
The AOA is used in the geometry section to move the wing and have it remeshed.
At the moment I am getting very weird Cd and CL results when I try to update all the design points I want (Cl values of 21 etc)
I think this is because the reference values are not working correctly. Is there a way of setting the velocity in the reference values to the xvelocity input parameter I made?
When I tried not using the velocity input parameter and instead just manually typing in the velocity I wanted into the inlet boundary condition and reference values the cl seems much more reasonable. I was still using the angle of attack input parameter though to save having to manually remesh everything. However this still is quite time consuming and labour intensive to obtain results. Ideally I want a range of values of AOA 0-20 deg and Velocity 40-20m/s
Additionally I noticed the following message comes up saying that I need to do some user input for the design points on the other model in the file B not A!. How do I know which geometry Fluent is trying to update the design points for? Finally in other files I have also noticed when Cl and Cd are used as output parameters they sometimes wont load into the parameter box. Very frustrating!
Please see the attatched pics
Many thanks for any help!

Forum ModeratorThe reference values are fixed. If you use a parameter for the inlet the boundary values might not propagate to the reference values (inlet).

SubscriberSo I would have to go through the points I want to run manually? I was thinking this might be the case.

Forum ModeratorLift and drag forces don't use the reference values. Can you compare those?
