SubscriberIn my 2-way FSI of aortic valve, when the leaflets of valve close completely, the simulation failed for the splitting of the fluid domain. And I find the solution for this problem in a paper: a minimum distance should be imposed between the leaflets to keep a gap when the valve closed. But I don't know how to set such contact in ANSYS? Does any one know the setting way? Any help will be deeply appreciated.

SubscriberIn the Contact Details, use an Offset parameter to prevent the structural walls from touching when the Frictional Contact is closed.

SubscriberThank you for your kind reply.
I searched the use of offset.
In the referrence, it means to move contact detection by value.
Positive value brings two separated parts closer.
But I don't know whether it is right to set a negative value for preseving a gap between two leaflets.
Is it ok to set a negative value in the offset?
Help to hear from you.
Thank you very much.

SubscriberYes, use a negative value of offset to leave a gap between the contact and target surfaces of a frictional contact when the contact elements are in the closed state.
