Is there a way to perform a strength analysis of 3D printed parts using Discovery?

Hello,Â
Are these parts faceted bodies? You can do simualtion on facet bodies in Discovery.Â

Thank you for your help. I've completed the analysis based on the facet data. I'm looking for a way to incorporate the build orientation's strength into the analysis. Do you have any suggestions?

Hello Konishi,Â
Can you please elaborate your question to understand this better? Is there any specific condition you want to define in Ansys Discovery for analysis?Â

DevendraÂ

Hello,Â
You can perform structural simulation in Ansys Discovery. Here is the Discovery Quick Tip- Applying Physics Boundary Conditions to Faceted Geometry - Ansys KnowledgeÂ

I've managed to perform the analysis, but I'm still struggling with how to set the material properties.
In the case of 3D printing, there is a tendency for the material to delaminate and fail along the layer direction. Is there a way to reflect this in the analysis? Can anisotropic material settings not be used?
