SubscriberI have a relative CS that I only use for a far field setup. I want to move it around in order to find the pahse center of an antenna. However, the psition of a CS seems to be only parameerizable with design variables. Because of this any change in the variables invalidates the solution. This is not what I intend. In this video( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYFQArrfm_M ) it works somehow. But it is an older version of HFSS.
I can define a postprocessing variable and use it in the position of the CS. But in this case only the current value of that variable is taken and not the variable itself. Any ideas? Thanks.

Please provide more information about your setup to help us serve you better.
Did you try adding a variable to alter only the position of CS with out affecting the design?
Did you try running the parametric of the variable?
Best regards.

SubscriberHi pmunaga thanks for replying. Meanwhile I have found a workaround. I don't know whether this is a bug or a feature, but AEDT behaves as follows:
If you generate a new relative CS and enter a new variable name for the origin, then you have noch chance to use a postprocessing variable to parameterize it. But if you first enter arbitrary values and then - after the coordinate system is generated - change the values to pre-generated postprocessing variables, then it works.
Cheers

I could not understand what you were trying to say.
At my side, I can assign a variable as the co-ordinates for relative CS and can use the same variable to run a parametric analysis.
Best regards.

the thing is that I wanted a post processing variable, not a design variable. When I generate a new CS I can only introduce design variables. When a design variable is changed (i.e. the CS is moved) the solution is invalidated. This is not what I want. With post processing variables the new CS can be moved without destroying the solution, as it is only used for a far field setup. I hope this was understandable.
Cheers
