SubscriberI have not yet downloaded any of the recent versions, R 2024, R1 and R2 2023. I just wanted to ask and inquire before downloading any of these versions. Will it actually enable me to open files created by the Ansys R2 2022 program based on your experience

Forum ModeratorUsually there are no problems. There can be some changes in behaviour so running models on may require checking a few settings. The only time I've seen major problems is reading files from very old (5-10 releases ago) into the new version where something significant changed in the model(s). Note, there have been licence changes so there may be some solver specific issues: you should be OK opening those cases on Teaching or Reseach keys that the University own.Â
