SubscriberHi everyone,nI am trying to simulate the diffuse transmission loss of a structure by means of Mechanical APDL. So far I've only been able to do so by applying PML underneath my structure and a acoustic diffuse field excitation by DFSWAVE on top of the structure. With this I could calculate the TL with the commandnpras, dfst, avg, all ! print average transmission lossnThis however only yields correct results if I apply the PML.nIs there another way to calculate the diffuse TL without PML for example with the rayleigh integral (command PRFAR) or something similar?nThanks a lot.n -

SubscriberHi Ashish Khemka,nThank you very much for your response! nThe link you posted above partially helped since starting from there I found some further information.nHowever, I have another question. I noticed that there were higher oscillations of the transmission loss at the lower end of the frequency range, that I observe (see the attached picture). Until now I have not recognized a pattern up to which frequency those oscillations occur. Do you maybe have an idea?nThank you and best regards.nn
