Hello everyone,
I built some surface plate using designmodeler, I need to change the material of smoe spot on this plate.
how can I assign some spot on this plate to change its material ?
I thought to remove a part from the plate and add equivellent one then glue it. Hence, I accan assign the other material to that part, am I right ?

it depends on what operation will needed but you will certainly need a separate body to assign separate material.

Hi,
You can cut and retain the cut portion of the material to have multibody part, share the topology and assign a different material to the region of interest in Mechanical.
