Hi..
I am modelling a structure experiencing an impact from a shock wave. I give the pressure profile to the front surface of the structure. lets assume the structure as a metal block. Then the block is on the ground and I need it to slides on the ground as the shock hits. I tried modelling the ground as a surface by defining a frictional contact with that surface. But defining the suface as ground is also a question. If anyone could kindly share any better method to model it, thank you in advance.
Â
Sincerely,
Wimukthi

Hi,
Defining friction seems to be a suitable approach, is there something specific that you are looking for?

Hi Ashish,
Thank you for the reply.Â
I am trying to define friction between the sufrace of my structure and the ground.Â
my structure looks like below. I need to define friction for bottom surfaces of the structure:
I wonder whether I have to model the ground/earch surface as well. I have these options under insert.Â

Much appriciated if you could share your thoughts. Thank you Ashish.

Hi,
In Geometry Modeler create a surface below the structure that represents ground.
