SubscriberHi,I am simulating a compressor.
And I need to know the velocity in the rotating tube inside my compressor.
I used Probe and enter the coordinate to see the answer.
But the coordinate can't move arround with the rotating tube.
The other problem is I don't know the coordinate after my model rotates.
So I can't use Probe to see what I want to know.
Is there any better method to see the velocity inside the rotating tube?
Thank everyone who want to help me!

Ansys EmployeeHello Luna?
Can you show a screenshot of what your model looks like? What is this tube exactly, and is it rotating about its axis?

Hello Federico Alzamora Previtali
Thank you for your reply!
Sorry that I forgot to add screenshots on my post.
Here is my model’s screenshot.
I circled the rotor in my compressor(the yellow one model).
I had hiden some components to that it be clearly.
And the tube looks like this by the side.
I need to measure velocity inside the yellow tube.
And my rotor rotates along axis successfully.
This is the screenshot at 1s.
This is the screenshot at 2s.

Forum ModeratorTo clarify, you want to add a monitor that's somewhere in the fluid zone and moves with the rotor?Â

SubscriberHello Rob.
Yes,that is exactly what i want to do.
But I am not sure which function is the best choice.
Thank you so much.

Forum ModeratorMoving monitor points isn't practical. However, using a register to separate a single cell to monitor is.Â

Really appreciate again!

Forum ModeratorMostly, except you are going to split the mesh using the register. That will give you a small region to monitor whatever you want on.Â
