How to make High quality mesh from icem cfd to fluent.

      Hello

What is important about high quality mesh?

I recently started using ICEM CFD. However, when I import from ICEM CFD to ANSYS FLUENT, there are some bad elements and I get a warning.

My method is to block the geometry and split the edges. After that, it has an unstructured mesh.

Could you tell us specifically how to find the bad elements and how to improve them?

You can also use recommended videos and tutorials.

      thank you so much

Please go through help document. The check quality section covers how to check quality.

There are some other videos on youtube as well.

      Regards,

      Thank you for your reply

I could understand the operation method. However, I do not understand the idea.

Is it better to divide the boundaries of the model more?

Also, are the smoothness, angle, and orthogonality of the elements related to the quality of the mesh?

What is important when moving mesh data from ANSYS FLUENT to ICEM CFD?

How can I block the shape of the bottom of the ship (fusiform shape)?

      thank you

it would be good to divide boundary more so that you get more curves for alighnment .

please check orthogonality which is important in fluent.

you will need to do some practice for blocking such geometries. it has good amount of manual work.

you can try tet mesh instead of blocking.
