SubscriberIn the new versions of Fluent the layout of 'Mesh Interfaces' is different and I do not see the option of making a mesh interface periodic. I remember that in an old post I was told that there was a command to go back to the old layout, but that post is not available anymore.
Thank you

If I try to do this in in the section Boundary Conditions (by selecting the two faces and clicking in Periodic), then I get the following error no matter what is the geometry:
Â
Changed zone 62 and 63 to type interface, and created a non-conformal periodic interface.
Error: wta(1st) to symbol->string
Error Object: #f
Â
It seems that Fluent creates the interface, but then there is an error message, and even if I can simulate the case, I am not sure if the implementation is correct.

Ansys EmployeeHi
To get back the old layout the one-to-one-pairing must be turned off.
see section 6.6.4. Using a Non-Conformal Mesh in Ansys Fluent.

SubscriberHi Mohamed,
Thank you for your help. I enabled the Manual Create option and now I get no errors when creating the periodic boundaries.
It seems that the problem cited is a bug of Ansys Fluent. In the automatic optionm the periodic boundaries are created with the name "#f" and it seems that error messages comes from there. The interfaces are ceated correctly, but this error limits the use of the program (for example, it is not possible to save a case and the corresponding data after creating a periodic interface in the automatic option).
