We have an exciting announcement about badges coming in May 2025. Until then, we will temporarily stop issuing new badges for course completions and certifications. However, all completions will be recorded and fulfilled after May 2025.

For this, you will have to use Named Selection feature. Assume that you need to know the number of nodes on Edge1. Now, select Edge1 and Create Named Selection for it using right click context menu in graphics window. Give it some name, say E1. Now, go to Outline Tree and select the E1 Named Selection and right click on it to Create Nodal Named Selection. This will create a new nodal NS and it will show the number of nodes on that edge in details view.

You can use same approach for knowing the number of nodes on selected face.

Eventually, we can use this approach for creating Nodal NS when we want to apply node-based boundary conditions like Nodal Force, Nodal Orientation etc
